What is Flix55.com?
Flix55.com is a video-sharing site in which you can upload and share your videos.
You, and your friends, can win prizes for posting and watching videos ... and your videos might also be on 
!
How can I win?
You can win cash and prizes from posting and watching videos on Flix55.com.
Currently we are awarding $25 Daily Cash Prizes for the people who post the videos with the most views for that day. The top-5 viewed videos of the day, that also have a minimum average rating of 3 stars, and have at least 20 views for that day, will each win a $25 Cash Prize.
The top-10 point getters for the calendar month will each receive $50. You get points every time you do the following:
- 100 points when you complete your registration
- 25 points for each original-content video you upload
- 5 points for each individual video you watch (you do not get credited twice for watching a video twice. You need to watch at least half of a video in order for it to count.)

Flix55.com will also be supplying videos for television! We will select from submitted videos for the programming that will be available to at least 20 million television viewers.
For you to win a daily prize, your video must be one of the top-5 most viewed videos of the day, have a minimum average rating of 3 stars and have valid entertainment value. (Please see below...)
Cash prizes will be awarded via PayPal.
Notes: In cases of ties, the video that was posted first will be declared the winner. A video can only win a daily prize once. Duplicate uploads of the same video is prohibited. A user cannot win a daily prize two days in a row. Videos that are uploaded and generate views without, in the opinion of Flix55.com, any valid entertainment value or in the spirit of the site , are just two examples of videos that will be NOT be awarded prizes. All decisions are final. Flix55.com reserves the right to terminate these prizes or change the rules at any point.
How do my videos get on television?
Winning, popular, and special videos have the opportunity to be selected to be a part of commercials and television shows. Flix55.com uses popularity, winning status, creativity, originality, and other factors in the selection process. These videos may result from (1) regular uploading of videos and / or (2) videos uploaded as a result of special promotions.
Scheduling of shows are based upon the timing of our users generating the appropriate content.
How do I get on television?
Whether you (a) upload a great, interesting, entertaining video that people like, or (b) upload a short transition-type video, both have the opportunity of being on the Quick Flix TV show.
A transition-type video is a short video that can be used as a transition on our show. An example would be the Video Titled "Chewing Starbursts" http://siu.flix55.com/watch/D0BduilcyMR

What video formats do you accept?
What is a Cash-Buddy?
Cash-Buddies are people who help you to win prizes. They are like your teammates. If your video wins the weekly or monthly cash prize, they (your Cash Buddies), will also win a cash prize.
The prize that is given to a cash-buddy does not come out of your prize winnings. We pay them separately.
It is important for you to pick Cash-buddies who will (a) come view your video and (2) tell many other people to come visit your video. Hint: When selecting Cash-Buddies, you want to select people who have a lot of friends, who will come watch your video(s).
Note: You cannot name yourself as a Cash Buddy on your own video.
Who can be selected as a Cash-Buddy?
Anyone registered on Flix55.com can be selected as a Cash-Buddy.
If someone is not registered on Flix55.com, they can be selected as a Cash-Buddy, as long as they have an email address. In this case, you enter their email address and they will be notified. (This person simply visits the flix55.com site, takes a minute, and registers—we cannot award prizes to people if we do not know who they are!)
Note: You cannot name yourself as a Cash Buddy on your own videos. A person can only be named once as a Cash-Buddy for an individual video. Please do not name people, or yourself, multiple times for the same video.
Who can watch videos?
Anyone can watch videos. It is better to take 2 minutes to (register and) log on before viewing videos so you can (1) get points and (2) see your video alerts.
What are Video Alerts?
Video alerts are lists of videos that have been sent to you by your friends.
- Videos where you have been selected as a Cash-Buddy, will be in your Video Alerts.
- Videos that have been sent to you by friends, will be in your Video Alerts.
- Special Promotions being run by Flix55.com.
Note: You must be registered and logged-in to Flix55.com to see your Video Alerts.
What is a video bio?
A video bio is a video that tells us who you are!
This video can be seen from your Library (Profile) and from the general part of the site.
What should not be uploaded to Flix55.com?
Flix55.com is open-minded and will accept a wide variety of videos. We want your creative, original, entertaining, crazy, funny, scary, amazing, athletic, interesting, disgusting, stupid, etc... content...
But, please do not upload:
- pornography or sexually explicit content
- illegal or dangerous acts. We do want people to get hurt creating videos. Examples include (but not limited to) child abuse, bomb making, humiliation or grossed out actions.
- copyrighted material. Only upload videos that you made or have the rights to use and sublicense to Flix55.com. This includes music as well as videos. This includes portions of video and music pieces, as well as pieces in their entirety.
- hate speech or racial slurs. Do not attempt to rile up people into malicious / violent/ predjudicial actions against an individual or group.
- content that will assist aggressive behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, or the revealing of other members’ personal information.
Flix55 reserves the right to (a) add to the list of unacceptable videos, (b) remove any video at our own sole discretion, and (c) remove / suspend usage of any user at any time for any reason.
What is my Contact List?
Your Contact List a list of people you know.
Your Contact List is critical to getting your video noticed.
After you post a video, you will want to tell people you know (your contact list) about the video.
Flix55.com allows you simply click a button and tell them!
How do I set up my Contact List?
It’s easy.
- You can manually enter your friends’ (a) Flix55.com Usernames or (b) email addresses.
- Or, you can Import contacts from your gMail, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook, Thunderbird, Plaxo and others. Flix55.com enables you to import other contact lists into your Flix55.com Contact-List easily and seamlessly.
How does a video become Featured? How does a Library become Featured?
Flix55.com members suggest videos and Librarys for consideration in the “Featured Videos” and “Featured Libraries”. We take suggestions from members at suggestions@flix55.com.
Can I upload a video that is already posted on another site?
Yes. You want to have as many people see it as possible, don’t you?
Do I have to accept comments relating to my videos? If I allow comments, do they automatically get posted on the site?
You do not have to allow comments on your videos.
If you do allow comments, you have the following options:
- allow comments to be immediately posted, or
- allow comments to be posted after you review them.
There is a button in your Profile Section labeled “Post Videos Upon Approval”. This allows you to review comments before they are posted (or rejected).
If I win a Prize, how am I paid?
If you win a prize, we will send you money via PayPal. If you win cash, we will send the money to PayPal and use the email address you have registered with. We suggest registering on Flix55.com using the same email address you use for PayPal.
Why are there not the same number of prize winners everyday?
There may be up to 5 Daily Prize Winners on any given day. If there are not 5 videos that meet the criteria, there may be less than 5 winners. For example: If only 3 of the 5 top viewed videos on a given day have at least 20 views, then only 3 videos will be awarded prizes.
How long should I wait for my Registration Confirmation Email?
There are many factors that determine how quickly you will receive the email. If you have (a) waited more than 10 or 11 minutes, and (b) have checked all of your folders in case the email was received but misplaced, please contact us by clicking "CONTACT US " link at the bottom of the page and sending us the details.
What should I do if I register but do not receive a Registration Confirmation Email?
Occasionally a Registration Confirmation Email will not be received in your email box.
If you have waited more a few minutes, please check to make sure it was not misplaced into your Spam or Junk Mail folder
If you still cannot find the email, please notify us by clicking "CONTACT US " link at the bottom of the page and sending us the details. We will quickly work to resolve the issue.
What is CurbSide?
The category "CurbSide" consists of short interviews of people to funny, provocative, and occasionally serious questions.
Sample questions may be...

CurbSide videos are short, typically 20 - 30 second videos.
My college is incorrect? The college listed for me is incorrect or missing?
First check your library. The school association will be on that page.
If your are listed with an incorrect school (university, college), please (1) Log in. (2) Go to My Account. (3) Click the Edit link. (4) Scroll down to University. (7) Click Edit (8) Change your school, (9) Click Save.
If that does not seem to work, please click the Contact link at the bottom of the site and send us a message.
My videos are not shown on my school's site. What should I do?
You are probably not listed as a member of that school on Flix55.com.
First check your library. Your school association will be on that page.
If your are listed with an incorrect school (university, college), please (1) Log in. (2) Go to My Account. (3) Click the Edit link. (4) Scroll down to University. (7) Click Edit (8) Change your school, (9) Click Save.
You should then go back to your school's site (listed at http://flix55.com/colleges ) and see if your videos are listed there. (It may take a little while for the videos to show up because of the timing of behind-the-scenes processes on Flix55.com).
If that does not seem to work, please click the Contact link at the bottom of the site and send us a message.
What is a refUrl?
You must be logged on to Flix55.com to see your ref:Url.
A refUrl your personal link to a video on Flix55.com. Every refUrl is unique.
When someone clicks on your refUrl, the person is brought to Flix55.com If the person registers during that visit, you will be credited with the points for that registration.
We suggest putting your refUrls (for your videos and others that interest you) in your blog, social networking sites, classifieds, etc... and anywhere you and your friends frequent... You can also email, IM the links to people you know...
How do I turn on (or turn off) email notifications?
Flix55.com will automatically notify you when any of the following events occur:
- Someone has commented on one of your videos
- Someone has commented on your library
- Someone has sent a message to you in your Flix55 message box
- Someone from your school has posted a video
- Someone who you subscribe to, has posted a video.
